Inner Stuff
Likes:
- The night
- Sucking the life-force from humans--preferably young women
- Playing his personal violin--the Bloody Rose
Dislikes:
- Garlic flavoring
- Acts of humanity
- Kaori Tsubasa; as well as her mother—which is his own older sister
Strengths:
- Capable of replenishing himself by sucking the life-force from humans
- Can operate under daylight just as well as he can in the night
- Possesses a sixth sense; life-detection that allows him to see the distant outlines of life
Weaknesses:
- Must regularly drain the life-force of humans in order to sustain his full strength
- Although it won’t kill him instantly, things like enchanted weaponry cause him considerable pain—this applies to his Bat Fangire form as well, but not when he’s Dark Kiva
- He can operate beneath daylight but it does hinder his full strength by at least 10%--his strength can be diminished even further however, depending on how long he’s gone without feeding
Goal(s):
- To make Humanity submissive to the Fangire Race.
- To crush the will of Kaori Tsubasa and prove she’s insufficient to bear the blood of the Royal Fangire Family.
Habits/Quirks:
- Has a habit of releasing a vampiric hiss when his anger becomes seething—or when he’s hunting down his prey.
- Possesses a faint allergic reaction towards garlic—though this only applies to his normal form for comedic purposes.
- Can sometimes be found sleeping standing upright with folded arms over his chest, with his eyes either opened or closed.
Relationships:
- Kaori Tsubasa – Niece; Being the child of his traitorous older sister, Yukio possesses a certain distaste for her—strengthened further by her capability of becoming what he considers to be a “False-blooded Kiva”.
- Maya Tsubasa – Older sister; Yukio’s older sister of whom he lacks a strong bond with, he despises her for her traitorous act of going into the arms of a human. As far as he’s concerned she is nothing but a traitor to the Fangire Race and deserves no less than the King’s Death Penalty.
- Bishop – Caretaker and Supervisor; Bishop has acted as one of several surrogate parents to Yukio from as far back as since the death of his mother. Bishop wishes to carve Yukio into as marvelous a ruler of the Fangire Race as his father had been. Although Yukio himself sees Bishop as something of an over-concerned pest at times—often threatening him with the Death Penalty for any act of insubordination or forcing of his hand against him. Yukio often forces Bishop to serve as the brains of the Fangire bulk.
- Rook – Bodyguard; Rook was another of those that took care of Yukio when both his parents had died. Rook is a proud soul who has served the Fangire Race since Yukio’s Grandfather was King, and as such remains loyal in body and soul to the Fangire Royal Family. Yukio is proud to have a soul such as Rook fight for him, although he has a sore-spot with constantly bringing up Rook’s failure to kill his older sister. Rook is normally told to act as the brute force of the Fangire bulk, although its unknown for how much longer he shall be held in good favor of his King—as Yukio remains unknowing to Rook having let Maya live out of loyalty to the Royal Family.
Overview: Yukio Kurenai—better often known as “King”—is the current leader of the Fangire Race, he often acts against the human race and makes several attempts to instill terror into them. He holds a belief that Humans are nothing but weak creatures that only serve use in being food for the hungry Fangire Race. He cannot forgive betrayal—an act he has labeled his older sister as having committed—and regards it worthy of only the King’s Death Penalty. He despises his niece, Kaori, of who inherited enough of her mother’s blood to become “Kiva” although Yukio considers it nothing but “False-blooded” as it is certainly lacking in strength in comparison to Yukio’s own “Kiva” form. Yukio’s bitterness towards the human race is expanded on in the fact that his father—the previous King of the Fangire Race—was killed in battle while facing the humans, as for his mother—she refused to bear fangs against the humans after they had proven themselves by overcoming King and thus she eventually died of weakness.
Hero / Villain Stuff
Name: Kamen Rider Dark Kiva / The Bat Fangire
Type of Hero / Villain: Kamen Rider / Fangire
Henshin Device: Kiva-Bat the 2nd and the Dark Kiva Belt
Henshin Sequence:
As Dark Kiva – Taking the glove off of his left and then proceeding to extend his right arm outwards and calling out ”Come forth, Kivat!”, Kivat-bat the 2nd flies onto scene. At this point, he grabs Kivat and holds him towards his left-hand where the bat bites onto his flesh. This causes stained-glass markings to appear on Yukio’s cheeks as the Dark Kiva Belt forms around his waist from chains, where Yukio places Kivat upside-down onto the buckle of his belt. Yukio gives off a laugh and calls out, “…Henshin!” as an eerie resonating noise is emitted as green waves emit from the belt. This spreads across his body as his figure shifts into the form of Dark Kiva which emerges from a final burst of green energy. The vampiric Rider proceeds to take a step forward with its green eyes glowing for a brief moment as Yukio threateningly states, ”Now, time for the King’s Death Penalty..!”
As the Bat Fangire – Yukio’s eyes glow a bright red as he makes something of a hiss, his body begins to slowly crack apart as stained-glass markings appear on his cheeks. Yukio merely holds his arms out slowly as his body cracks more until it finally “shatters” revealing his body anew as the Bat Fangire. Upon completion of the transformation, the Bat Fangire extends its wings for a moment and violently flaps them twice before calming itself and coldly saying, ”To think I would have to use this form…”

Fighting Style: Dark Kiva is an incredibly powerful form—within it, he exercises great strength and speed to overcome his foe and instill terror into them. Although he often acts rather relaxed and non-intimidated, his displayed bursts of speed can throw one off easily. His strikes possess great force from them, and he also demonstrates great swordsmanship when using his Zanvat Sword. He also displays heavy usage of his personal abilities, making him a difficult foe to overcome.
Weapons: Demon Imperial Sword – Zanvat Sword
Abilities: Enhanced Attributes, Can use the Kiva symbol as a weapon , Can split apart and reform into and from flurry of bats, Can use his Life-Sucking Fangs, Can produce green-flame
Finisher(s):
Darkness Hell Slash – Dark Kiva points his Zanvat Sword at his foe before saying, ”To Hell with you..!” he then runs his left hand along its blade as it becomes engulfed with green flame. Dark Kiva then lunges forward—slashing through his foe, leaving upon them a wound that sprays blood as Dark Kiva’s faces backwards to them as they fall over defeated.
Darkness Hell Crash - The Darkness Hell Crash is a punch with the force of 65t. When performed, day turns into night with blood red fog. Dark Kiva then does a flying punch with his right arm. It starts up by Kivat’s eyes glowing as he calls out, “Wake Up One”, with Dark Kiva beginning to assume a stance as his right arm begins to emit green flame.
King's Burst End - The King's Burst End is an Emperor Moon Break-style kick with the force of 180t and green energy blades. It starts up by Kivat’s eyes glowing as he calls out, “Wake Up Two”, with Dark Kiva slapping his arms open as he then flips upwards into the air, with green flames circulating around his legs.
King's World End - To activate, Kivat’s eyes glow as he calls out “Wake Up Three”. At this point Dark Kiva begins to walk forward as green flame slowly engulfs his body, once fully engulfed; Dark Kiva lets out a hiss and dashes forward. He grabs a hold of his opponent by the throat and pushes them into the ground—he cries out ”Your world… has come to its end!” before squeezing their throat and triggering a pillar of green-flame to engulf himself and his foe. Dark Kiva walks from the pillar seemingly unscathed at the end of this finisher.
King’s Hell End – Letting out a dark laugh, Dark Kiva runs his hand along the blade of his Zanvat Sword—much like he does when beginning to do Darkness Hell Slash. He then throws his sword with great force through the chest of his foe, Dark Kiva then proceeding to flip upwards into the air as he gains spiraling green flames around his legs—much like when performing Darkness Hell Crash. Dark Kiva gives off a simplistic cry of, ”Die for your King!” before flying downwards and kicking the hilt of his Zanvat Sword deeper into his foe as he uses the sword as a conduit to shroud his foe within green flames. As his foe begins to fall backwards, Dark Kiva extends a hand out and tears his Zanvat Sword from them—turning away as they hit the ground. - Form Name: Bat Fangire

Fighting Style: As the Bat Fangire; he becomes something of a berserker. Often moving with great speed, and exercising great strength as he spares nothing onto his foe. He releases violent streams of red electrical energy to fry foes from a distance, and will try to grab his foes by the foe as to drain their life from them with his Life-Sucking Fangs. He will also attempt to split parts of him into bats in order to avoid injury—all of this pre-mentioned is capable as Dark Kiva but as he’s not as “berserk” he doesn’t use these tricks and abilities except when most necessary.

Other Equipment:
- Bloody Rose – A violin that was created for the previous King by Yukio’s mother. The Bloody Rose is Yukio’s only proudly held heirloom belonging to his family. It is said to produce an eerie melody of incomparable beauty—often the subject of jokes of the Bloody Rose being a “Devil’s Artifact”.
History
Birthed from the love shared between the previous King and Queen of the Fangire Race, Yukio was the younger of two children blessed to the no life King and Queen. Since the day of his birth he was marked with the crest of King—his father falling in battle against the Human Race not long after Yukio was born. This event not only left the young Yukio unknowing of his own father, but his own mother had become a recluse within her own race and died only a few months after Yukio’s birth. This left the infant Yukio to be raised by his older sister as well as the Fangires entitled Bishop and Rook. With no memory of his father, and but blurred fragments of the smile of his mother, Yukio would grow up with a particular resentment towards humans.
This resentment became only ignited into a raging flame, as years after Yukio had matured into an age that he no longer needed to be raised like a child—he discovered his older sister would abandon her own race and go into the arms of a human. Out of rage, he had attempted to have her “executed” but Rook—the Fangire he had sent after her—had failed to claim her life and had been defeated—but not killed. At that point, Yukio was forced to forget about the older sister of whom had been like a mother-figure to him and as painful as it was he forced himself to act as if she never existed. With such a heavy weight on both body and mind, the Fangire Prince would officially take up the sorrowful mantle as King of the Fangire Race.
For a long period of time would Yukio enter a time of seclusion from matters involving the Human World. He would educate himself in the philosophies his father once held, and being supervised by the wise Bishop and trained by the immovable fortress Rook, Yukio would increase his strength to remarkable levels. By the time Yukio emerged from his private training, he had reached a level of strength comparable to the strength his father had once had. It was at this time that Yukio, of birth-right being the next Bat Fangire, unlocked his bloodline’s power as “Kiva” and he would become the “Full-Blooded Kiva”.
Presently, Yukio—or now almost always referred to as “King”—had begun to take action against humans. Although his race had preyed on them during the period of time he was training, it was but scarcely, what with his present-day assaults being far more common and threatening to them. He holds belief that the Human Race is better at nothing else than offering themselves as food and supplement to the Fangire Race. Of course, even in this day and age does something or someone stand in the way of the King—the kin of his older sister, her daughter to be exact, a young woman by the name of Kaori Tsubasa of whom had inherited her mother’s blood, able to also become “Kiva” although her strength is halved in comparison to King’s own for she possesses only half of the power of her bloodline as a result of her human father.
Crowning himself as her eternal enemy, and crowning the young Kaori as the one thing that can stand in his way, King—establishing himself as different from her as the “Full-Blooded Kiva” and “Dark Kiva” due to his colors of darkness—desires to have his own niece killed, as to erase the stain his older sister left upon their bloodline with her actions. King feels that if he succeeds in killing Kaori in battle, he has also killed his older sister, and with that can rule over the Fangire Race without stain in name. Of course, for how long shall his internal conflict last? Will it be the pure-blooded Fangire who stands triumphant or shall it be the Half-Fangire of pure heart? Only time shall tell.
