The King's eyes narrowed; disgusted with the attempt that foolish humans had just placed on his life. How futile it had been for anyone--any mortal--to try on the life of the No-Life King, for they were met with only death. If there was any appreciation to be had for this, it was that he had filled his belly full with the life force of more humans.
"I can stuff myself as full as possible, but all it does is quench a temporary thirsty." He frowned, unamused heavily. He had only one desire that was left unfulfilled--and fulfillment of it would quench his strongest thirst.
"Where is she."

The she in question was walking home from school, looking rather down. It was recruitment today at her school, but no matter how hard she tried to attract new members - no one wanted to join her Occult Research Society.
She sighed to the little bat hidden inside her backpack, "You know, Kivat, sometimes I think you're my only friend.."
"Cheer up, Kaori," whispered Kivat so he won't be overheard by any passerby humans, "Don't give up just yet!"
Kaori nodded, "You're right, Kivat! I can't give up!"
She pointed to the air and declared, "I will get more members for my club!"

King's eyes narrowed, his senses came alive again as he felt a troubling sensation.
"My King--"
"I know. She is near."
"Not just her, but my son as well."
"Well I would expect as much..." King began to move, deciding it time to establish his existence to his own niece. As he neared his presence would create a heavy atmosphere possible to be sensed.

Kaori felt a wave of dread wash over like the tide.
"W-what is that?"
She caught herself from falling. She looked around, there was no one there except her.
"KAORI!"
"Kivat? What's wrong?"
"RUUUN!"

Before Kaori could even flee as instructed by her Kivat, the form of the No-Life King had already taken position behind her. His arms were folded over his chest, as his one visible eye narrowed. The color of his eye went from its usual cerulean tone to a blood red--almost sanguine color as he glared her down.
"Greetings, Kivat-bat-the-3rd." The King spoke. His own Kivat said nothing, despite seeing his son with Kaori. His King had already spoken for the both of them.

"Ah..King..So nice to see..you...Hello..Father...You seem..Well.."
"Kivat?" Kaori titled her head before noticing the emo looking person standing behind her, "Eh? You weren't there a moment ago.. Are you stalking me? I won't see i'm not flattered, but that is rather rude.."

"You bear much resemblance to your mother." The man's arms slowly unfolded, "How disgusting." He seemed unphased by her inability to tell what he was.
Kivat-bat-the-2nd only laughed darkly, "She can't seem to tell, is this really the inheritor to the Kurenai Royal Blood?"

"Eh?" she blinked, "You know my mother?"
Her fist began to shake, "And you insult her.."

King made a rather bored expression, "Of course I do. She's my older sister." He revealed. "I've every right to speak as I please about her--she's but a dirty traitor to her own race."

"Your sister...?" Kaori's eyes flashed blood red for a few seconds before she calmed down and folded her arms, "So you're my uncle, eh? I never knew I had one."
"Kaori.." Kivat whispered.
"Huh?"
"Let's get out of here. Trust me, your uncle is bad news."

"I would apparently be thus--but you may call me your King." His eye narrowed with dark intent. "Any act of resistance and you only acquire my Death Penalty." He raised a finger to point to her.
Kivat-bat the 2nd only chuckled at his King's words. "You shouldn't be afraid my son, you would be spared from the Death Penalty. Our kind are simply too valuable to our King."

"King?" Kaori blinked before tensing up again, "So you're the one who sent those Fangires to attack me..?"
She had a quick flashback to the last Fangire she defeated as Kiva who mentioned a King. She had tried asking Kivat about him, but he dodged all the questions like he was afraid of something. Seeing this guy and the kind of malicious aura he gave off, he was right to be.

"I merely guide the Fangire Race. I guided my kin to attack and feast upon the human race as they please--but for how they go about doing it..." He chuckled, "...that's completely their call." His eye then emitted a red glow, "Though one still baffles me--have my Fangirian kin grown so weak that even a Half-Blooded Kiva can defeat them?" He questioned aloud.
'Though the power of the Fangire Royal Family's blood is truly something, even when hindered by the blood fof a human.'

"Aren't they all weaklings? I mean the ones you sent did get beaten by a little girl like me.." she kept up a brave front even though she was terrified, more terrified than she had ever been in her entire life.
She balled up her fist. She had witnessed a Fangire feeding on a human first hand. She can't believe such monsters existed in the world and that she was one of them....

"Perhaps a portion are, yet Fangires like myself stand above all." He calmly responded, "Though a half-ling like you is not excused from the Rules of Life that make up our Race." King began to grin slowly, "You must feed too, do you now?"

"Well i won't do it!" Kaori cried out, "I'll never feed on another person!"
"Kaori!"
"I'll never be a monster like you!"

King grinned, he attempted to fight back the desire of a hideous fit of laughter. "You are truly a naive one, Fangires are the superior species and if that makes them monsters than the Humans are no better!" King proclaimed, "As long as a single shred of Fangire blood courses through you, the need to feed is inevitable. Even your mother is cursed to feed every now and then, otherwise you shall grow weak and die."

King sighed, "You're simply too naive." He mumbled out, "I would do our race a grand favor by giving you the King's Death Penalty here and now." The expression on his face suddenly became more menacing. He began to lift his hand upwards to point at Kaori.
"Kivat."
"My King? Do you really intend--"
"Quite so."
The gesture as well as the words spoken should have served as warning enough to--if not Kaori--at least Kivat-bat the 3rd.

Kivat flies out of Kaori's bag and begins tugging on her shirt.
"Run, Kaori, run!"
Kaori wouldn't move. She couldn't move. She didn't know if it was fear or stupidity or what. She was stuck firmly to the spot.
